This article will go over how to access and view passwords that you have previously saved in your web browser.
Select from the following browsers to be brought to the specific instructions for accessing and viewing saved passwords for that browser:
Chrome
Firefox
Internet Explorer
- Open your Chrome browser
- Type chrome://settings/passwords in the address bar and then hit the Enter key to open the Passwords page
- Scroll down to the “Saved Passwords” heading, and you’ll find a list of all the usernames and passwords saved to Chrome

- To view the password in plain text, click the eye icon

- If you lock your computer with a password, you need to provide the username and password before you can view this password

- After you successfully enter your computer’s credentials, the saved password reveals itself in plain text

- Open your Firefox browser
- Type about:logins in the address bar and then hit the Enter key to open the Passwords page

- Select the website from the left side of the page
- Click
to view the password
- Open your Internet Explorer browser
- Click the gear icon in the upper right corner then click Internet Options

- Select the Content tab in the window that opens, then click Settings under AutoComplete

- In the new window that opens click Manage Passwords

- Once Credentials Manager is launched, select Web Credentials to view all saved usernames and passwords in Internet Explorer browser

- Click the down-arrow button next to the password you wish to view then click Show
- Type your computer username and password
